Welcome to the Future of Education!

So many high school classrooms are packed with content but running low on calm, connection, and joy. If you’re a teacher who’s tired of white‑knuckling your way through behavior, burnout, and ever‑changing demands, you’re in the right place. At the heart of every meaningful classroom is more than a lesson plan—it’s a felt sense of safety, curiosity, and genuine student engagement.

We help educators create high school learning environments where engagement, teacher well‑being, emotional intelligence, creativity, and real student autonomy can actually coexist. All of our work is guided by The Reimagined Educator Method™—a nervous‑system‑aware framework for reimagining education that centers well‑being and student voice in how we teach, so teens are better prepared for life beyond high school.

Our premiere self‑paced online professional development course, The Engaged Classroom, is your starting point. It gives high school teachers practical, science‑backed strategies for student engagement, classroom expectations, homework that supports teen mental health, and daily practices that reduce stress for both students and educators.

We believe you can’t reimagine education without listening to the people living it. By amplifying student voices and offering teachers grounded tools, we can create classrooms where everyone feels seen, supported, and able to thrive. That begins with listening to The Voice of the Student and understanding what school truly feels like for today’s teens: their stress, their hopes, and what they wish adults knew.

Get your copy of The Voice of the Student to hear directly from high school students what they most want educators to understand—and let their voices guide how you reimagine your classroom and your teaching.

The Reimagined Educator Method™: Our Complete Framework

Behind every course, podcast episode, and resource I create is one core framework: The Reimagined Educator Method™—a three‑phase pathway for reimagining education from the inside out. It begins with regulating the self, moves into reimagining the systems we teach inside, and lands in restoring the classroom so students actually feel the difference.

  • Phase 1 – Regulate the Self
Calm, nervous‑system‑aware teaching so you’re not living in survival mode.

  • Phase 2 – Reimagine the System
Gently redesign expectations, routines, and homework so they support well‑being and learning.

  • Phase 3 – Restore the Classroom
Use student voice, pause moments, and constructively kind feedback to create a safer, more connected classroom.

The Engaged Classroom is your on‑ramp into this system—guiding you through all three phases with practical tools, reflection prompts, and teen‑aligned strategies.

Due to the specialized nature of our "live" cohorts, only a limited number of spots are available each round. Make sure to check out our site policies prior to any purchases and subscribe.

Amplifying Student Voices to Create Lasting Change in Education

Listen to students' voices: Hear directly from high school students about their experiences, struggles, and what they need to succeed.

Understand the importance of teachers: Teachers are the backbone of student success—supporting, empowering, and guiding students through their educational journey.

A call for change: Education has evolved, but we need to ask: where is it headed, and how can we create real, lasting improvements?

The need for inclusion: A collaborative, inclusive approach to high school education is key to meeting the diverse needs of both students and teachers.

Teachers deserve more: Well-educated, well-paid, and valued teachers are essential to fostering a thriving learning environment.

The future depends on us: Our students and dedicated educators are at the heart of tomorrow’s future—and they deserve better support today.

  • This book challenges us to rethink how we support students and educators alike.📚

  • It presents powerful arguments for a healthier, more well-rounded, inclusive, and collaborative approach to public high school education.🎓

  • If we are serious about improving the future of education and helping our struggling youth, we must elevate both the voices of students and the needs of our teachers.📣

It’s time to listen. It’s time to act. We don't need to wait for "someone else" to fix it.⌛

We have the power to change the lives of our students in a meaningful and lasting way...for good!💞

Let The Voice of the Student be your guide to understanding how we can begin to make a difference in all our lives—by working together.🤝🏼

What readers are saying about The Voice of the Student...
“What an awesome book focused on giving voice to the actual students in high school! So many other books are focused on what the adults think instead of hearing from the kids themselves. I loved how Dr. Spence provided interesting facts and useful information but kept the main focus of this book on the students! There were helpful tips suggested, but always with the idea that we need to really start listening to these students. I really enjoyed this book and learned a lot.”

About

Who We Are

The Voice of the Student is an education advocacy and authorship business that draws inspiration from the experiences of its founder, a parent of two adolescents with a PhD in Integral Health and Life Physics. Our Education Movement challenges the status quo, holding our leaders accountable and fighting for solutions that will transform society and more importantly, vastly improve the lives of twenty-first-century students.  The public education system is currently under attack by those pushing their own agendas that have absolutely nothing to do with what students want, what students need, or what is in alignment with the best interest of ALL students! Continuing to apply band-aid fixes and non-secular agendas to previous generation education ideologies falls well short of meeting today's students needs from an academic, wellness, or socio-emotional perspective.  Adolescent stress, anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation has reached epidemic levels and continues to increase every year.  Something needs to change!  School, where adolescents spend the majority of their time, is the most logical place to focus on changing for the better.  Our students, and future young adult members of society, deserve better.  We, as a country, deserve better.  Whether you have a student in high school or even have a child at all, this will affect you & it's time to start caring about this issue.  The time is now to listen!
